How to Apply Liquid Metal Shield

PolarTronix Liquid Metal Shield is designed for easy, precise application around sensitive components before applying liquid metal. Follow these steps to create a protective barrier and help reduce the risk of short circuits.

Clean the Area

Make sure the area around the chip or processor is clean and dry before applying the coating.

Brush Around Components

Use the integrated brush lid to apply Liquid Metal Shield around nearby capacitors, resistors, and exposed areas.

Let It Cure

Allow the coating to cure for approximately 30 minutes at 68–74°F (20–23°C) until the protective barrier is set.

Apply Liquid Metal

Once cured, apply liquid metal only to the intended surface area while the surrounding components remain protected.

Application Tips

✔ Apply only around sensitive components, not on the actual contact surface where liquid metal will be used.
✔ Use a thin, controlled layer for better precision and a cleaner finished result.
✔ Allow full curing before applying liquid metal for best protection.
✔ Ideal for CPUs, GPUs, consoles, and other electronics using liquid metal cooling.
