PolarTronix liquid metal thermal paste is a conductive thermal interface material made in the USA. It forms a thin contact layer between a compatible processor surface and cooler. Choose from the current 1g, 1.5g and 5g sizes, with documented preparation accessories in the smaller kits and product-specific handling guidance.
Liquid metal thermal paste applications
For compatible PS5 liquid-metal replacement, CPUs, GPUs and laptops originally designed for liquid metal, first verify the original interface, exact hardware revision, both contact surfaces and the manufacturer's service instructions. A device name is not a universal compatibility certification. Do not replace an intended thermal pad or putty gap with liquid metal.
Compatibility & Safety
Liquid metal is electrically conductive. Keep it away from components, traces and connectors outside the intended contact area. Do not use on aluminum surfaces or heatsinks: permanent damage can result. If either surface or the required interface is unknown, stop and verify it before application.
Available sizes and kit contents
Current 1g and 1.5g product descriptions each list a precision curved metal applicator tip, three lint-free application swabs, one WET cleaning pad and one DRY cleaning pad, plus the stated quantity of liquid metal. The current 5g description confirms the material size but does not establish accessory counts. Confirm 5g accessories with PolarTronix before purchasing if they are required.
Liquid metal versus conventional thermal paste
Conventional thermal paste and liquid metal are different interface materials, not automatic substitutes. Conventional paste conductivity depends on its formulation. Liquid metal requires compatible surfaces and control of conductive spill risk. Follow the original device interface and product instructions; conventional paste is not recommended as a replacement for the PS5 liquid-metal interface. Read the material comparison.
Application precautions
- Read the product application instructions and Safety Data Sheet before use.
- Power down and disconnect the device; follow its manufacturer's service instructions.
- Confirm compatible contact surfaces. The handling guide identifies nickel-plated copper; bare copper behavior and complete device suitability require additional evidence.
- Clean and fully dry the mating surfaces using a compatible cleaner.
- Apply only a very thin, controlled layer and inspect for escaped material before reassembly.
- Use the required containment and protection for the exact device. A conformal coating is not permission to use an incompatible interface.
